Using the lianas, two honey-hunters climb a tree called the Dabéma. For the pygmies, it is a sacred tree, the tree of the ancestors. For the introduction of the youths to the Bolobes devils, a young man settles himself between the tree's buttress roots and spends the night there to enter into contact with the ancients who teach him the secrets of the forest.
