At the spice market in Istanbul, the shop Cankurtra Gida, like all the others in the market, offers tourists honeycombs as well as the country's rare honeys. The honey in a wax comb is highly prized in Turkey and the honey of Rize is very well-known. The Kara Kovan honey from Camlihemsin is harvested at the end of the month of July.
