FRANCE/ Ile de OUESSANT. Brittany's black bee conservatory became European scientists' ground zero for bee and pollen samples and study. The island is indeed free from the varroa mite and other bee diseases. The environment is protected from industrial monoculture, pesticides, and biotope degradation.
